The Candy Cane: This is a knock off but delicious. The Old Fashioned Tom and Jerry: A classic rum drink enjoyed by many is a batter made ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator. It\’s great to have on hand for a party or people just stopping by. To make the batter you will need six eggs that you separate and beat separately. In the bowl with the stiff egg whites you add one and three quarter cups of sugar gradually and salt to taste with one teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Then you take one cup of powdered milk and slowly stir it in the mix. The cover and store.

When you use the mix you add one to two tablespoons to a mug and fill to three quarters full with hot water. Add rum to taste of any type you like. Usually one ounce will do, and top it off with nutmeg as a tasty garnish. It\’s a great drink on a cold day.
