Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a common disorder that is widely misunderstood and sometimes when symptoms cannot be explained the individual will be labelled with IBS. The syndrome is purely a malfunction of the bowel, which can be controlled when it is properly understood. As Diarrhea can make an individual feel very ill, they may not want to eat but they should consume lots of water to ensure they do not deteriorate.
Although it all seems rather daunting initially, once a person has discovered their triggers they will be well on their way to a successful recovery and maintenance program. Some people cannot tolerate fruit and vegetables like others can and will reduce the portions they consume to three rather than five.
