Telepathy is a form of communication which does not use the five standard senses. Instead of getting your thoughts across through speech or visually, telepathic communication works through a direct mind-to-mind link. It\’s a useful skill which every man and woman innately possesses and with practice, you too can communicate this way.

You\’ve more than likely already used your natural telepathic abilities before even if you were unaware of it. All of us have had the experience of thinking of someone only to find them getting in touch with you shortly after.

These happenings are not mere coincidence. The person you were thinking of was actually thinking of you first and you received this telepathic communication.

This contact then precipitated more conventional communication such as a letter or a phone call. Whether you thought of them first and they received these thoughts or the other way around, this telepathic link between the two of you is what brought you into communication with each other. The other person may have been meaning to get in touch and your telepathy picked up on this, leading you to think of them.

However, there is a lot of skepticism about telepathy. Some think that it belongs entirely to the realm of science fiction or fantasy or that even if it did exist, that only a small number of people have the ability to use telepathy. Many have a mental block which holds them back from using this natural ability. They may think that this is unnatural or even something which is evil in nature or that since the scientific proof hasn\’t yet come in that telepathy can\’t be a real phenomenon.

Others think that if telepathy was important that the ability would come to us more easily. Of course, this argument doesn\’t add up; it\’s not as if we\’re born knowing how to speak the language which we think of as our mother tongue. The idea that telepathy is without value is just as misguided as the opinion that this and other psychic abilities are the handiwork of the Devil. Telepathic communication and verbal communication can be thought of as the two sides of the same coin.

Telepathy and speech complement each other and when used together, allow you to communicate exactly what you mean. Telepathy can\’t always convey everything you want to say, but words can also prove inadequate. Using both of these natural communication abilities lets you be a more complete person and relate better with others.

Learning telepathy is in essence acquiring a new sense which lets you see the world in a different way; in fact, it opens more possibilities to you and gives you a broader perspective. This alone makes telepathy a talent well worth developing.

You\’ll need to have a partner to get the best results from your efforts to learn telepathy. Choose a close friend who shares your interest in developing this skill; the positive reinforcement you will give each other will be invaluable.

Your practice sessions should be done with you at your home and your partner at theirs. This keeps you from picking up on facial expressions and other cues. Make sure that you\’re both relaxed and free of stress before you begin; this will facilitate your communications.

You\’ll take turns being the sender and receiver. First, visualize your partner clearly and imagine something connecting the two of you. Many choose to visualize a beam of light, but even the image of cans on a string can be helpful \” just pick something which is easy for you to focus on.

The next step is to use this visualized link to send your telepathic communications. Imagine your thoughts traveling over this link and your partner receiving them. Keep your thoughts simple enough to understand, but pick something to send which won\’t be easy to guess.

After you feel that you have sent your telepathic signal, call your partner to ask what they received from you. Once you compare notes, take a few minutes to rest and then switch places with the sender in the first exercise now being the receiver.

Learning telepathy does take some practice, so be patient with yourself and your partner. Keep your transmission short; 15 minutes at the most when you\’re beginning. If you don\’t feel that youre able to send your transmission in this time, take a break and rest. Telepathy uses parts of your mind which are usually undeveloped, so overdoing it can tire you out.

Learning telepathy takes practice, patience, persistence and positivity. Don\’t give up and you\’ll start being able to use your telepathic abilities soon enough and a whole new world will be open to you.
