A Look at Soy Candle Making Supplies
Now-a-days, soy wax has become very popular. There are many advantages of using soy wax. First of all, soy is a natural and long-lasting element. The soy wax is cheaper than other natural waxes. It also produces less shoot than synthetic candle waxes.
In 1990, Michael Richard had entered the candle-making supply business, and in the next year he invented the soy candle. He observed that the customers were more inclined towards natural waxes, but most of them could not afford them due to steep price factor. Then Michael started experimenting with the waxes and oils of many different plants. He also mixed a small amount of beeswax, which is very expensive, with palm oil and coconut oil. The result was a great wax. In the year 1995, he finally invented the soy wax candle.
Considering the advantages of soy candles over various types of candle-making wax, the list goes as follows:
Soy candles are natural; they do not include petroleum or other environmentally risky elements, which is present in synthetic wax. In United States, there are many candle-making shops that sell wax made with soybeans. The farmers are helped by the suppliers who purchase these soybeans.
The soy wax candle emits much less soot than the synthetic wax one. This makes it easier to clean after the soy candle has burned. Also, minimizes risks of soot starting a fire.
The soy candles are also cheaper than natural waxes. The cost of a soy candle is almost half of a beeswax candle. So, it is advisable to the candle makers, who can’t afford bees wax, to just try soy wax.
